3 Ways to Get Your Kids to Brush While on Vacation

Making your children brush while on vacation is essential to their dental well-being and their outlook on the importance of dental care. If not, children may come across many dental health issues that will trouble them in the future. Let’s look at a few ways parents can ensure their kids brush on vacation.

  1. Make a Deal

When you’re on vacation, there are many places you can take your kids to. So, simply negotiate with them by setting up a deal that states you will take them to a fun place, such as an amusement park or beach if they brush their teeth while on vacation. This shall get them plenty excited and will get them to brush happily.

  1. Incentivize Teeth-Brushing

Attaching a reward with brushing teeth can go a long way to make it a solid habit for your children. Whether in the morning or at night before bed, your children should know that brushing their teeth is key to ensuring good dental hygiene and preventing numerous problems. Positively reinforcing teeth-brushing can motivate your children to do so and make them understand its importance.

  1. Lead By Example

If you want your kids to pick up a healthy habit, do it yourself so they’ll mirror you. Children tend to copy things adults around them do. So, practice good dental habits yourself, such as flossing, brushing, and avoiding sugary treats, to help your kids understand the value of good oral hygiene as well.
